REMINDER: COVER FOR COVID-19 TESTING
How will COVID-19 tests be covered by the Scheme?
- If you test positive for COVID-19, the cost of the test will be covered in full.
- If the diagnosis is negative, the related tests will be covered from the overall annual limit. If you test for COVID-19 more than once, subsequent negative tests will be covered from your available Everyday Services Benefits.
- Tests through self-referrals will not be paid by the Scheme. Only your doctor can request this, and will only do so if you meet certain criteria. Your doctor will also be able to advise you where to get tested.
What if I notice that a claim for a qualifying test was not paid by the Scheme?
If you notice that a claim for a test seems to have been rejected against expectation, it may be that the pathologists used an incorrect code, or that some of your other details were entered incorrectly and the system automatically rejected the claim.
